FROM THE MOTORWAY INTO THE ZEBRASTRAAT ITSELF
From the E17, follow the signs for “Gent Centrum” to enter Ghent by using a long flyover. Turn left just before the traffic lights and keep left to make a big turn around the eight Meiplein (with WWII monument). Follow the sign “other directions” but make sure not to enter the flyway again. Take the first to the right (François Bernardstraat) and turn immediately left (Tentoonstellingslaan). At the roundabout, take the fifth exit, which is the Zebrastraat.

PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy of the project, the profile of the residents and the implantation within the traffic infrastructure make of Zebrastraat an example of a car free environment in the modern city. The Liedts-Meesen Foundation has signed an agreement with the city of Ghent with regard to the low traffic character of the historic site of the Zebrastraat, but it has also ensured that the numerous events, seminars, exhibitions and meetings will not create a nuisance by providing the project parking New Zebra. This car park can also be used by the local population and by incoming traffic from the highway to Gent Centrum.

By public transport

Zebrastraat is easily accessible by bus from the stations Ghent Saint-Peter and Ghent Dampoort. The buses stop at Leeuwstraat. Upon arrival at the bus stop you walk towards the roundabout. There you take the Zebrastraat. NV Zebrastraat is located on your right.
